THE CONSULTANCY
Technology decisions belong within an assessment of the organisation.
A platform, a service or an AI system operates within existing processes and responsibilities. We examine those arrangements alongside the technology, including the information people need and the work required to maintain a change.
Tiph publishes sector perspectives and analysis of external research. Findings are attributed to their sources; our commentary sets out the implications we consider relevant. A recommendation should be specific about its evidence and the limits of what that evidence establishes.

Establish the facts.
Review the systems, processes and information available. Identify the requirements, constraints and assumptions that need to be tested before a recommendation is made.
Assess the options.
Compare the available approaches against their cost, dependencies and operating implications. Explain the basis for a recommendation and the conditions under which it would need to change.
Define responsibility.
Set out who will implement, operate and review the proposed change. Agree the acceptance criteria, review points and measures required to evaluate it.
